Student Community Online

A common misconception about online schools is that they lack the strong student community of physical schools, but this simply isn't true. Online schools often have a wonderful online community for students to partake in clubs, activities, group chats, and experiences.

When looking for an online school, we really recommend looking at student life and community, as it helps students to build friendships outside of classes and get social after school. This not only impacts their well-being positively but also builds key social skills.

What to consider when comparing student communities?

Student communities form the base of pupils' social interaction, friendship building, and out-of-school fun/socialisation. It is an important factor to consider when choosing an online school, as a good student community can make a really positive impact on students' wellbeing and overall enjoyment of their studies.

Some factors to look at regarding student communities are: extracurricular clubs and activities, student councils, social hubs, student meet-ups, and events/contests. Extracurricular activities are one of the best features for children to make new friends outside of their usual classes.
